Three Traditions Converge

Liturgical/sacramental

With great respect for the ancient liturgy (work of the people) of the church, we use the Anglican form of worship found in the Book of Common Prayer. Sacramental in that we believe in the "work of God" in the response of the people of God to the directions of Scripture.

Charismatic

God provided "grace gifts" in accordance with the needs of the Body of Christ. These gifts are "as the Lord directs" and are expected to function in the lives of Spirit-filled believers. These Spiritual Gifts may be expressed in worship but most importantly are evident in the daily walk of the child of God. Our worship reflects the convergence of charismatic, liturgical, and contemporary with the traditions of past generations.

Evangelical

Generally this term is used to emphasize a personal relationship and commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; the Bible as the inspired Word of God; and the need for evangelism. In keeping with the "Chicago Call of 1977," we stand firmly committed to the historic evangelical faith understanding the need to recover our common roots to faithfully transmit the gospel to the world today.
