About us

Holy Trinity is the first parish church of the Charismatic Episcopal Church in Boise, Idaho. Founded in 1992, the CEC combines the rich sacramental and liturgical tradition of the early Church, the power of Pentecost and the celebration of biblical values born of orthodox, evangelical teaching.
More

Observing a style of worship that emanates from the Apostles and early Church fathers, the beauty and authenticity of the ancient liturgies, sign and symbol, the sacramental life, and the weekly celebration of Holy Communion are discovered anew. And in our use of the Book of Common Prayer, we are heirs to the great Anglican tradition.
More

Under the authority of Spirit-directed bishops, priests and deacons, we anticipate the Holy Spirit's presence among us. CEC churches remainto the expression of spiritual gifts within the structure of the liturgy and in our personal lives.

About Apostolic Succession

Apostolic Succession refers to the ancient Rite of Consecration in which bishops lay hands upon a man, invoking the Holy Spirit to confer the authority necessary for the man to become a bishop himself. The process of the laying on of hands grants the legitimate power to govern the People of God that Christ transferred to the Apostles, that the Apostles transferred to the first bishops of the Church, and from those bishops to the bishops alive today.

The three distinct lines -- Orthodox, Anglican and Catholic -- of apostolic succession that the CEC bishops have received solidly places the CEC in a clear line that provides a connection to historic Christian faith -- a faith that is orthodox in its theology and catholic in origin.
